Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU BAKE EVERY DAY?

I bake for a few select days during the week.  Please ensure you allow 3-4 days from ordering to receive your freshly baked goods on time.

WHERE ARE YOU L0CATED?

I'm located in Springfield - approximately 35 min from Brisbane CBD I operate in conjunction with Lagoon Café at 155 Springfield Circuit, located at Springfield Central.  I bake after hours and am not at the café during normal business hours. Your orders will be ready for pick-up at this location and the friendly staff will bring it out to you.

DO YOU DELIVER?

Yes and no.😄 Depending on where you are located, I am happy to bring your baked goods for a front door delivery service.  You are most welcome to come and collect your goods at Lagoon Café located at 155 Southern Cross Circuit, Springfield Central.

I do not offer delivery service for locations further than 10km from the bakery.

 

*Please note this café is not owned by me; I bake out of hours and can have your goods collected by you from your online orders only.

DO YOU BAKE ANYTHING VEGAN OR SUGAR FREE?

Vegan and sugar free baking are not my passion at all. If you need such goods, please contact veganyumm

DO YOU BAKE NUT-FREE/EGG-FREE?

I appreciate many have allergies to nuts and eggs, however my bakes rely on nuts for that authentic signature flavour, and although some bakes do not contain nuts, I use it across my bakes frequently and cannot guarantee nut-free contact.  Eggs are likewise my binder of choice for traditional flavour and texture and therefore egg-free is not on offer with my baking.

DO YOU BAKE NOVELTY/THEMED/CUSTOM CAKES?

I ONLY bake the goods listed on my website. Novelty/themed/custom cakes have their time and place, but they are not my passion.

I HAVE A SPECIAL MESSAGE I WANT WRITTEN ON THE CAKE, DO YOU DO THIS?

Writing a message on a cake can add a nice touch, however I do not provide this service.  You are welcome to collect your own topper or get a chocolate disc made with your message on it from a cake shop.  Be mindful of the timing in accordance with your event date.

DO YOU BAKE FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes! I love baking for special days! If my baking style suits your wedding, then I’ll be happy to bake for your special day. Pick and choose from what's on offer on the menu provided. Please note I do not provide toppers, flowers or writing on the cake; you will need to source that yourself.

WHAT FLOURS ARE IN YOUR GLUTEN FREE BAKES?

I use a variety of flours depending on the bake being prepared.  Currently I use these flours: white rice flour, brown rice flour, soft corn flour, almond flour, almond meal, teff flour, sorghum flour and tapioca flour.  All these ingredients are gluten free. That being said, when you purchase from me you agree to my Disclaimer.

ARE YOUR GLUTEN FREE GOODS SAFE FOR COELIACS?

I take great care to keep my gluten free baking utensils separate and keep everything strictly, entirely gluten free with packaging, storage and cleaning.  My hours of operation for baking in the kitchen are solo-operational and commence only after thorough cleaning and checklist marking for coeliac-adherence. That being said, when you purchase from me you agree to my Disclaimer.

HOW DO I ORDER?

Once you know what you’d like to order, head over to the Order page and fill in the form to send an email directly to my inbox.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO YOU NEED TO BAKE FOR ME?

I require 3-4 days' notice with payment to secure your order. Fresh and delicious baked goods require proper planning and plenty of time to be enjoyed to the full.

Here's an example: Friday orders are due Monday by 5pm AEST.
